About Julian
Have you been challenged with a recent life event that has caused you to feel out of touch with yourself? Are you experiencing anxiety or depression that is getting in the way of you living your life to the fullest? Hello my name is Julian and I help people feel empowered and find their inner strength and resilience even in challenging or overwhelming times. I will collaborate with you to help you identify and overcome your personal obstacles to improve your relationships and overall sense of peace.
With over fourteen years of clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings, I have had the privilege of working with adults and teens dealing with a variety of serious mental health issues and other general mental health concerns. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I work with adults dealing with Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Eating Disorders, Relationship Issues, Existential Issues, and Life Transitions.
I have three and a half years of Master’s level training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, including six months as a Community Practicum Therapist at a university setting, and six months working as a Clinical Intern Therapist at a behavioral health treatment facility. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy at Penn State University, Main Campus.
I provide individual counseling for people experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. By utilizing Person-Centered Therapy (Client-Centered/Rogerian), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Gestalt Therapy (Experiential), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), helps to guide the therapeutic process during therapy sessions. I look forward to building and nurturing a cooperative and working relationship to help support you in the process of growth and change.
I strive to provide a supportive, non-judgmental and welcoming space for people from all backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, sexualities, and identities. I practice culturally responsive care that is sensitive to individual differences and I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and a social justice advocate.
